Our Van is available to be booked by Scout Groups & Girlguidng Groups.
The CDE Van
Our Explorer Unit has ownership of a 2008 Ford Transit Van that can be booked to borrow by Scout groups and Girlguiding groups. The van is a very clean and reliable vehicle that is great for loading up all that camp & event equipment.
Regularly Serviced & Maintained
The Van has received regular servicing and never misses a beat
Drivers Cabin
The Van is a 3 seater with a Radio, CD player, Bluetooth RADIO adapter, dashboard phone holder & USB ports!
Breakdown Cover
We have Nationwide Breakdown cover for Mainland UK, further cover will be required for other places *T&Cs apply
Fully Comprehensive Insurance Cover
A Fully Comp policy is in place allowing 18+ to drive. *T&Cs apply
Tow Bar
The back is fitted with a Tow Bar and electrical connection. (Check max weights prior to booking if plan to tow)
Drivable with your Car Licence
The Transit can be driven by any over 18 who has a car driving licence.
Our Location
Our Ford Transit Van is based in the Surrey Town of Banstead. When borrowing the van one of our friendly leaders will meet you to ensure a smooth handover.
Borrowing Costs
We have chosen to offer our minibus for a donation fee rather than a traditional hire rate. Scout groups and Girlguiding groups are able to book to borrow the Van!
One key factor that influences this approach is insurance. As a volunteer-based organization, we operate under specific insurance policies that require us to offer the van on a non-profit basis. By requesting a donation, we can cover the operational costs associated with maintaining and running the Van while adhering to these insurance requirements.
Your donation not only helps us maintain and service the Van but allows us to keep the Van accessible to all our members and other groups.
